Wedding Booking Special

I am running a wedding booking special during the month of March, in honor of the Sun Prairie Bridal Fair that I will be at on Sunday, March 1st.  (hint-hint-make sure you attend)

Sign your wedding contract between March 1st-31st, 2009 and receive $100 OFF your wedding coverage.  Contact me for a bridal packet and to inquire about availability.  The bridal packet includes:  coverage prices, current album prices, samples of Save-the-Date postcards and magnets, FAQ, list of recommended vendors and a 2009 wedding contract.

Also, on a side note...I just got in the new Glass Cake Toppers that are listed on the Engagement portrait pricing link.  They look AMAZING!!!  I'll have photos to share soon.  AND, they'll be at the Bridal Fair this weekend.

Bridal Fair

If you know of anyone who is planning a wedding this would be a great opportunity!  The Sun Prairie Round Table offers a FREE Bridal Fair the first Sunday in March.  It is a low-key, much smaller expo than that in Madison.  This provides you with lots of opportunity to talk one-on-one with the vendors!

I have attended the fair since they first started it in 2007.  If you're looking for a wedding photographer, this would be a great opportunity to see my work on display and I will be offering a "show discount".  Here are the details for the Bridal Fair:

When:   Sunday, March 1st 11:00am-3:00pm
Where:   Round Table
1611 N. Bristol St.
Sun Prairie, WI

Again, it is FREE to anyone and everyone.  They offer five $100 door prizes that can be used for services from any of the vendors in attendance.

Marshall Youth Wrestling Club

I had the pleasure of shooting the Marshall Youth Wrestling Club team and individual shots a couple of weeks ago.  Then, last Saturday, I was given the opportunity to go and shoot action shots at their tournament.

On Saturday, I had a great time.  The kids and families were wonderful!  I haven't been around a youth wrestling tournament in ages (my little brother used to wrestle, so its been a while).  I just can't get over how little some of them are!  Awww...only a couple more years and little Drew will try wrestling.

Here is the "silly" team photo from the Marshall Wrestling Club and a shot of a Marshall Youth wrestler taking down a Fort Atkinson wrestler at the tournament.

New Referral Program

In looking back on this past year, I'm starting to plan for 2009.  In doing so, I realize that much of my past year's success is due in part to great referrals, or old fashioned "word of mouth" advertising!  If you passed my name on to someone this past year, I thank you!  Going forward, I would like to really show my appreciation, so new for 2009 is the Lasting Impressions Photography Referral Program!

Here's how it'll work.  Whenever someone calls to inquire about my photo services, I typically ask how they heard about me.  So, make sure they tell me it was YOU!  After that person books with me, I will send out a portrait certificate to the person (hopefully you) who referred me.

The photo on the right is of Drew...we used this for our holiday cards this year.  Don't you just wish we all had as much enthusiasm and energy as a 14 month old?!  Oh, and just for a teaser...look for a kids portrait special this spring!

Snow Day...

So who was prepared for this snow?  I'll admit, it is pretty, but I wasn't quite ready!  In my opinion, unless you like winter sports, large amounts of snow are pointless.  And, due to the fact that I probably won't be partaking in my normal winter activities this year (knee surgery), I'm not really looking forward to additional snow.  Yuck!

Now that I was able to get that off my chest, here's the holiday ordering update.  Unless you order something by tomorrow (December 10th), I will not be able to guarantee delivery by the holiday.

When was the last time you had a family photograph taken?  If you're still looking for gift ideas for friends and family, here's a thought...give a gift certificate for a family sitting!  Its the perfect way to celebrate family, gift something practical and can be enjoyed for long after the holidays.  If you're apprehensive about just giving a piece of paper, then give a photo frame with the gift certificate inside the frame.
